What does it mean to connect with others in a state of empathy? Can we offer ourselves without expectation of reward?
This lecture will provide insights about the art of selfless giving from the perspective of Craig Rennebohm, a Lutheran chaplain working on the streets with people struggling with mental illness, and Pravrajika Vrajaprana, a nun at Vedanta Society of Sarada Convent.
Rennebohm is a Mental Health Chaplain and author of "Souls in the Hands of a Tender God." Craig Rennebohm
Vrajaprana is the author of Vedanta: A Simple Introduction. In 2006, she was a co-speaker with the 14th Dalai Lama at the Interfaith Conference in San Francisco.
Generously supported by the University Religious Center Interfaith Fund. Co-sponsored by the Interfaith Initiative of Santa Barbara County and the Religious Studies Department at UCSB.
