The mission of the Interfaith Initiative of Santa Barbara County is to welcome, stand with, and celebrate the major faith and spiritual traditions in our community, promoting understanding, respect, and cooperative activities while partnering with other organizations to realize our common values and goals

Interfaith Cooperation

In the face of the great divisions among the major religions and their grave local and world-wide ramifications, we will work together to bring an end to religious discrimination and hatred wherever it arises in our communities and educate the public by highlighting our common religious beliefs while appreciating and learning from our differences.

Compassion

Compassion, the core value of all the great religions, provides the foundation for our work of bringing faith groups together and in addressing community issues.

Human Dignity

We join together seeking to promote human dignity and bringing about genuine empowerment, security, and self-determination for every member of our community, irrespective of their religious affiliation.
